This stabilized oscillator is used in many of our products, and all
new HPTx's except where a PLO is used.
Contained in the tray is a microwave
upconverter assembly, power/status LED's, and an external frequency counter. A
microcomputer counts the frequency and constantly tunes the
temperature-stabilized oscillator. The oscillator thus has very good frequency
stability, and also exhibits low phase noise.
